Nvidia Profile Inspector 2.4.0.29 is the latest version of the powerful, open-source tool that lets gamers and PC enthusiasts fine-tune their Nvidia graphics cards. This utility offers access to advanced driver settings, custom game profiles, and performance tweaks not available in the Nvidia Control Panel. Released as a pre-release in March 2025, version 2.4.0.29 introduces significant updates since 2.4.0.16, making it a must-download for optimizing modern GPUs. Here’s what’s new and how to get started.
What’s New in Nvidia Profile Inspector 2.4.0.29?
The latest version brings targeted enhancements for compatibility and performance, especially for users with recent Nvidia drivers. Key changes include:
- Disabled Windows auto-complete in filter textbox (thanks Astyanax for posting fix!)
- DLSS override settings now show the override DLL version in the dropdown, eg. “override with latest installed (v310.2.1)”, along with small description of how override works.
- Removed “unused” text from DLSS-RR Preset E (thanks aufkrawall2 for suggestion!)
- DLSS Improvements: Updated DLSS – Forced Scaling Ratio to support the new 572.83 driver when DLSS – Forced Quality Level is set to Custom (#307, @renannmp). This ensures smoother scaling for games using DLSS.
- DLSS-FG Enhancements: Replaced the misnamed DLSS-FG – Forced Preset Letter with DLSS-FG – Private Flags, adding new flag settings for finer control over Frame Generation.
- DXVK and Additional Settings: Added a DXVK present promotion flag, extra DLSS/rBAR settings, and clarified anti-aliasing (AA) and auto-lod-bias options (#282, thanks to @aufkrawall). These improve compatibility with DXVK and modern rendering techniques.
- Shader Cache Boost: Introduced a new 8GB shader cache size (0x2000), now the default in recent drivers, reducing stuttering in games.
- Reference Updates: Added bit values for DLSS-FG and RTXHDR flags, plus a DXVK flag in Reference.xml, enabling precise adjustments via the bit editor. Also included additional setting names from NvAPI/NVCPL for better customization.
- UI Fix: Resolved InputBox DPI issues with a new prompt window for adding app paths, now supporting UWP app IDs (#278, @emoose).
These updates make 2.4.0.29 ideal for users seeking cutting-edge performance and compatibility with Nvidia’s latest technologies.

I have a Dell T7910 that is obstructing the config of the Nvidia 1080 GTX’s installed in SLI with HB Bridge. The T7910 supports Quadro SLI setup, so the setup is clearky capable, but might have stopped retail cards being used.
Is there anybody using this profile inspector who feels they could modify my config using such to get the cards working in SLI mode for gaming? I have an awesome system, and 4K monitor, but the 1 card running solo is just not enough, getting them working would be awesome…anybody up for the challenge? Cheers
Pretty much all motherboards will work with quadro cards, what you really need is a SLI certified motherboard which you almost certainly don’t have if it’s from a workstation build. However, you can use auto different SLI but that software will make the the scaling horrendous, a lot of games won’t work with it (even just multiplayer) and you will get graphical issues. Not that it matters much since SLI has been dead for a while now, Nvidia stopped making profiles for it since the 1st of January 2021 and in the 4000 series the functionality has been completely removed.
i hope i get potato graphics from this
